HEIDI VAN GIFFEN, L.D.

Heidi van Giffen has been a licensed Denturist since 2006 after graduating from Bates Technical College in Tacoma, WA, which at the time was the only school with a dedicated denturist program in the country. She ran successful practices in Klamath Falls and Ontario, OR prior to opening 1st Class Dentures LLC in Boise, Idaho. She is actively involved in the Oregon, Idaho, and National Denturist Associations and currently serves as the Treasurer for the Oregon State Denturist Association and as a member of the Board of Directors for the National Denturist Association. Heidi has also served as President and Vice President for the Oregon Denturist Association from 2010-2016.

Heidi van Giffen

She began her dental career as a Dental Assistant at the age of 16. She completed her associate's degree at Chemeketa Community College in Salem, OR where she was the youngest person the school had ever had in the dental assisting program. As a Dental Assistant she was able to see many different dental specialties first hand. The Denturist specialty sparked a lot of interest because of the artistic nature involved in the clinical and laboratory setting while crafting a denture. Heidi has always been artistic as a young child and now uses those skills and abilities to create natural looking dentures that fit each patient's individual features.

Heidi has a great talent for making functional, comfortable, and natural looking dentures that restore her patients' confidence to eat, speak, and smile again. She loves seeing the difference a great set of dentures can have on a person and is a strong believer in patient education which helps her patients gain confidence and success in their ability to wear a denture. She really listens and connects with her patients to create trusting and loyal relationships and has even had a patient drive over six hours each way just to have Heidi work on their denture after her office moved from Klamath Falls to Ontario, OR.

Heidi has been happily married to her Dutch husband, Robbert, since 2005. They have two children named Wyatt and Amelia, and the family also includes two Lab/Australian shepherd mixed dogs named Cash and Coco. They enjoy spending time with family and friends, travelling, gardening, board games, all kinds of arts and crafts, and trying different restaurants in the Treasure Valley during date nights.
